How you will make an impact:
We are currently seeking a reliable and caring Bus Driver to join our team at Shorewood. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents during transportation, while adhering to all established state laws and SilverCrest Bus policies. As a Bus Driver at SilverCrest, you will play a vital role in assisting residents onto and off the bus, as well as at their destinations. Collaborating with our Programming staff, you will help facilitate outings and activities, providing our residents with enjoyable experiences outside the facility. You will be in charge of the general maintenance and upkeep of the community's bus, diligently recording all maintenance records for future reference.
This is a part-time position - 20 hours/week with core hours of 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with possible other times based on the driver's availability for special events such as theatre performances and sports events. Duties would include driving the bus and assisting in other areas of the community as needed. A great, flexible opportunity!
What you will need:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Bus driving experience preferred.
- Passing a DOT physical is required
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
